About VPIN
The Virtual Plant Information Network (VPIN) is a Semantic Web Services platform for plant information resources. This is an NSF-funded project which uses SSWAP as the underlying semantic technology.
As a web services platform, it allows partners to share data and invoke web processes to operate on that data. As a semantic web services platform, it allows partners to describe their data and services, and to find data and services, based on definitions suitable for machines and humans to understand.
